Overview

Plico Advisory ("Plico", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals and organisations who use our website, tools and advisory services. This policy is prepared in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

By using our website, intake forms or advisory tools, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Information we collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, and limited technical information collected automatically when you use our website and tools.

Contact details Name, email address, phone number and organisation, provided when you submit an enquiry, intake form or subscription request.
Project information Site addresses, project briefs, budgets, drawings and related material you provide so we can prepare advice, reports or feasibility assessments.
Tool inputs Information you enter into our advisory tools (e.g. space planners, budget planners, compliance guides) to generate reports or outputs for your project.
Technical data Standard web log information such as browser type, device type and pages visited, used to operate and improve the website.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to respond to enquiries, prepare proposals, deliver advisory reports, and generate outputs from our tools (such as feasibility studies, budget plans and compliance guides).

We use your contact details to respond to your enquiries, provide updates on projects you've engaged us for, and — where you've opted in — send information about our services and subscription tools.

We may use anonymised, aggregated data about how our tools are used to improve their functionality, accuracy and design. This data is not linked back to identifiable individuals.

We may use or disclose information where required by law, to comply with regulatory obligations, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Plico, our clients or others.

AI-assisted tools

Several of our advisory tools use AI (including the Anthropic API) to help generate reports, summaries and recommendations. The way we use AI tools — and how project information is handled when you use them — is set out in full in our AI Disclosure.

No sensitive data in prompts. Only project-relevant information needed to generate your requested output should be entered into our AI-assisted tools. Avoid entering financial account details or information unrelated to your project.

Storage & security

Storage Information is stored on secure, access-controlled cloud systems. We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide our services, meet legal obligations, or as agreed with you.
Third-party processors We use trusted third-party providers (such as cloud hosting and AI service providers) to operate our website and tools. These providers are contractually required to protect your information and only process it on our instructions.
No sale of data We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
International transfers Some service providers may store or process information outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled in line with this policy.

Your rights

You have the right to:

Request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct any information that is inaccurate or out of date.

Unsubscribe from marketing or subscription communications at any time, or ask us to stop using your information for a particular purpose.

Lodge a complaint about how we've handled your personal information by contacting us directly. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
